Lyrics of Kandaen Kandaen Kandaen Seethaiyai

Kandaen kandaen kandaen seethaiyai
Kandaen Raghava naan     (kanden)

Andarum kaanaatha lanka puriyil
Aravindha vedhavai tharavantha maathaavai  (kanden)

Panikala varijam pola niram poosi
pagaloru yugamaaga kazhithaale prayasi
Ninaithangae raavanan annaal vara
che che nillada endru yesi
Thanithu than uyir thannai thanvida maharasi
saarum pothe naanum samayam ithevaasi
Ini thaamatham seiyal agathendridar pesi
rama rama rama rama endrethir pesi    (kanden)

  3. Got the below translation from http://translationsofsomesongsofcarnticmusic.blogspot.in/

I saw, I Saw , I saw Sita, OH Raghava.

In the city of Lanka which not even the devas have seen,
I saw the mother, who was given by the Goddess SAraswathi,

Looking the like colour of the lotus in the winter
Spend that day like a eon, that lovely one,
At that thining thinking of her when Ravana came there ,
She chided him saying “Che, CHe”,
And when the great lady was about to give away her life herself ,
I concluded that it is not proper to delay further,
And went on telling her “Rama, Rama, Rama, Rama, Rama,”

  4. Marvellous song and thanks a ton forthe lyrics and the meaning.. Other sites have so many more charanams and this sung in Vasantha raagam. This seems like Bhagyashree ragam .Does hanuman Ji sing this song when he finds Sita ?

    1. This song is composed by Arunachala Kavirayar. Hanuman ji conveying the message of seeing Sita devi in Lanka to Lord Rama. Bombay Jeyashri has sung this in Bhagyashree ragam in "Listener's choice" Album.
